Applications Open for Court Management Program
Ohio court personnel interested in obtaining the Certified Court Manager credential have until July 8 to submit an application to be considered for the three-year program beginning in the spring of 2012, according to the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Offered through a partnership between the Supreme Court’s Judicial College and the National Center for State Courts Institute for Court Management, the program addresses specific training needs of court leaders for better job performance.
The program is designed to develop and update knowledge and skills in six areas deemed as “core competencies” by the National Association for Court Management. They include purposes and responsibilities of courts, court performance standards, fiscal administration, caseflow management, human resources, and information technology. Participants take two modules per year.
Those interested in participating should contact the Judicial College at 614/387.9445 or cmp@sc.ohio.gov.
