From Buzzwords to Best Practices: Workplace Diversity Policies

Stephen Menendian of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at OSU, will present "Diversity, Inclusion and Affirmative Action," a 3.0 CLE on the practical considerations of developing workplace diversity policies. This seminar will be a resource for firm managers, corporate counsel and those working with employment policy development.

The class will include a brief overview and introduction to diversity, inclusion and affirmative action terms and laws. The majority of the class will focus on issues that will help attorney instructing their clients on best practices to comply with relevant laws. Specifically, affirmative action and diversity policies in higher education, public employment, private employment and contracting and set asides for minority or disadvantaged business entities, will be discussed.
