2011-12 Officers and Board of Governors Elected

The Columbus Bar membership elected Mark C. Petrucci, magistrate for the Franklin County Common Pleas Court, as the new secretary/treasurer. Petrucci will join David S. Bloomfield, Jr., Porter Wright Morris & Arthur who will be sworn in as president, culminating his five years of service on the board – three as a board member and the last two as a Columbus Bar officer. Bradley B. Wrightsel, Wrightsel & Wrightsel, will be installed as president-elect.

Three new members join the 2011-12 Board of Governors. Elected to first-time terms are Brigid E. Heid, Carlile Patchen & Murphy and Lisa Pierce Reisz, Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease. Sandra R. McIntosh, Freund Freeze & Arnold, was appointed to the board in 2010 to serve out a vacancy. McIntosh will now serve her first elected term. Jack A. Guttenberg, Capital University Law School and Gregory M. Travalio, of counsel with Isaac Brant Ledman & Teetor, were re-elected to second terms.

All newly-elected members will be sworn in at the Annual Meeting on June 3 at the Hyatt Capitol Square. They will join sitting board members Jennifer A. Adair, Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Court of Claims Defense Section; Aaron L. Granger, Schottenstein Zox & Dunn; Jay E. Michael, Law Offices of Jay E. Michael; Rosemary E. Pomeroy, Law Offices of Rosemary Ebner Pomeroy; and Keith W. Schneider, Maguire & Schneider. Current president, Hon. Stephen L. McIntosh, Franklin County Common Pleas Court, will serve as past president. Kenneth R. Cookson, Kegler Brown Hill & Ritter and Anthony M. Sharett, Bricker & Eckler will retire from the Board after serving the maximum two terms of office. Immediate Past President Elizabeth J. Watters, Chester Willcox & Saxbe, will also retire after serving on the Board since 2003.

Petrucci’s election as secretary-treasurer leaves an opening on the board, with one year left on his two-year term. In accordance with the Code of Regulations, the new board will appoint a replacement to complete Petrucci’s term at the first Board meeting following the Annual Meeting.
