May is Bike Month

CEO Bike to Work Challenge

Location: Franklin Park Conservatory. If you drive to the Conservatory & bike from there, there is ample parking. We ride rain or shine.

Date: Monday, May 16. Arrive by 7:30 a.m.. Mayor “Bikin” Mike Coleman and others will say a few words and then we’ll leave by 8 a.m. to bike downtown with police escort. We should arrive at City Hall at approximately 8:20am where we will have a brief program and be on our way by 8:45am.

Dress: Biker Casual. Although there will be folks in spandex, last year the majority of CEOs wore casual work clothes.

This event is for everyone! So please encourage your colleagues, family and friends to join us. Coffee and treats at City Hall.

Bicycling 101

Tuesday, May 17 from noon to 1:00pm, Franklin University, Ross Auditorium, 301 E. Rich St., Columbus. This is a great intro to bicycle commuting!

Ride of Silence

Wednesday, May 18 launching at 7:00pm so be there about 6:30-6:40pm. We’ll meet on the south side of the State House for a short urban ride with police escort. This ride honors those injured or lost in motor vehicle/bicycle accidents. This is an important, powerful event. We urge you to come with a friend and family member. You will be moved.

May Bike Month Wrap-Up Party

Consider Biking will host a May Bike Month Wrap-Up Party on Friday, June 3 at our offices at 4041 N. High Street, Suite 201. This is a happy hour affair, so come after work. We’ll be raffling off over $5,000 in prizes (including two bikes, staycations, gym memberships, gift cards, etc.) for those who log at least two rides on www.RideNet.net during the month of May.
