'Tis the Season! No, Not That One...'Tis Masters and Institute Season

The Columbus Bar semi-annual offerings of CLE Masters series and Institutes begins this spring with the April 29 Institute on Representing Survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking. This 6.5 CLE program is co-sponsored with the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, and offers advanced level considerations for effective representation of survivors relative to various practice areas. 1.0 ethics and 1.5 professionalism hours are also included.

May 5 we welcome back the 2011 Probate Law Institute. Earn 6.0 CLE hours, including 1.0 professionalism, while getting the most current information for the practice of Probate. Topics include Charting the Course with the 2010 Tax Relief Act, Technology & Probate, E-Filing: What’s ahead in Franklin County, and Probate in the Great Recession: Creditors’ Claims, Payouts & Insolvent Estates.

May 12-13 2011 Bankruptcy Law Institute hosts regional and national faculty over the course of two days. Featured topics include: Developments in the Madoff Bankruptcy Case; Navigating the Dangerous Intersection of Tax and Bankruptcy; case law updates; a case demonstration; and lunch keynotes on Optimizing Your Professional Network: Leveraging Your Personal Brand in a Virtual World, and Initiatives from the U.S. Trustee Program.

Our first Masters Series CLE of the season will be held on June 21 on Domestic Law. Speaker and topic information will be available soon.
