OLAF Announces New Board Leadership
The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation Board of Trustees elected new officers during its annual meeting recently.
H. Ritchey Hollenbaugh, Carlile Patchen & Murphy, (Columbus Bar past president) was elected as president; Jim Petro, Ohio Board of Regents chancellor, (CBA member) vice president; Joseph Mas, 330 Lawyers Group, treasurer; and Kathy Burke, former Ohio Lottery commissioner, secretary.
OLAF was created in 1994 by the Ohio General Assembly to fund civil legal aid for low income Ohioans using dollars earned from the interest on lawyers trust accounts, the interest on real estate trust accounts funds, and a civil filing fee surcharge, ensuring that veterans, victims of domestic violence, and people facing foreclosure have access to legal information, advice and representation.
