State and Local Tax Update - News and Reviews

The Business Tax Committee brings you its penultimate installment of the 2010-2011 Taxing Matters Series on Wednesday, April 13 - State and Local Tax Update: a summary of the significant developments in Ohio state, multistate and local taxation since last April, with guest speakers Ted Bernert and Kelvin Lawrence of Baker Hostetler.
The presentation will include analysis of state "Amazon" laws, an overview of recent legislative proposals and changes, a summary of the Ohio Department of Taxation's Use Tax Education Program, discussion regarding pass-through entity taxation and residency for Ohio income tax purposes, and a review of pertinent case law in federal and state courts as well as the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals over the past twelve months.
As a part of the Taxing Matters Series, attorney attendees who register may be eligible for up to 1.0 hours of CLE credit, and members of the Business Tax Committee may audit this presentation.
