Notices Posted to Attorneys on CLE Deficiencies

Attorneys who failed to earn their requisite continuing legal education (CLE) hours by the Dec. 31 deadline and attorneys who missed the Jan. 31 deadline to file a report of compliance with the CLE hour requirement will soon receive notices of noncompliance.

The Supreme Court of Ohio Office of Attorney Services reminds attorneys they have until April 30 to remove their hour deficiencies and until May 31 to file the appropriate late compliance and reporting documentation and late compliance fees.

Requests for late compliance must be submitted with the late compliance fee, postmarked on or before May 31. Failure to submit the request will result in the Commission issuing a monetary sanction and/or suspension from the practice of law.

Call 614/387.9325 if you do not receive a notice of noncompliance or a postcard of compliance this month.
