Supreme Court Seeking Volunteer Guides

The Civic Education program is calling for volunteers to lead tours of the Visitor Education Center and the beautifully restored Ohio Judicial Center. The education center tells the stories of Ohio courts and the individuals who shaped them. Interactive exhibits, bold graphics and videos introduce visitors to cases and decisions that touch citizens’ lives. Dozens of murals, mosaics, bronze sculptures and ornamental touches that reflect the state’s history, culture and commerce are featured in the Ohio Judicial Center, a civic landmark.

The Court seeks volunteers who are comfortable speaking to groups, interested in history and government, and capable of leading 90-minute tours. Students are the primary audience of the more than 14,000 visitors who tour the building annually.

Individuals interested in the program may contact Julie Manning at 614/387.9223 or email Julie.Manning@sc.ohio.gov for more information.
