Concerning the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

While any ruling that calls into question the constitutionality of PPACA is important to those subject to its many requirements, including employers, the current lawsuits (initiated by Florida’s Attorney General with participating states) generally involve the individual health coverage mandate (which requires individuals to have health coverage or pay a tax penalty). Therefore, Willis continues to advise clients to comply with the PPACA requirements until there is some different result in an applicable court.
