Social Security Disability Update

Two Administrative Law Judges are among presenters as the new Social Security Disability Committee joins forces with the Social Security Area Director’s office for CLE at the Columbus Bar on November 18, 1:30 to 4:45pm. Chief ALJ John Allen from the Columbus ODAR will provide his View from the Bench, and ALJ Paul Yerian from Cincinnati will summarize recent updates to Sixth Circuit case law. The afternoon will also include several different perspectives on disability cases involving mental impairments, with presentations by Clinical Psychologist Joan Williams, Public Relations Officer Mike DeNoble of the Ohio Bureau of Disability Determination, and Dr. Jeffrey Madden, who frequently testifies at the hearing level as an expert on psychological issues and maintains a private practice in the field of psychology. The program has been approved for 3.0 CLE credits.
