He's Back! Abraham Lincoln Returns to the Columbus Bar
Before serving as the 16th President of the Unites States, Abraham Lincoln was a successful attorney (1837 to 1861). He’s coming to the CBA on November 17 to speak to his colleagues via video vignettes intertwined with presentations by Judge James L. Graham, U.S. District Court; Judge Patrick E. Sheeran, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas; Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; Kathleen M. Trafford, Porter Wright Morris & Arthur; James G. Ryan, Bailey Cavalieri; and Harold D. Paddock, Court Administrator, Mediator and Magistrate, Clermont County Common Pleas Court.
The foundation for the Masters Series: Lincoln on Professionalism seminar are vignettes prepared and produced by the Atlanta Bar Association in cooperation with the Georgia Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. The 3.0 CLE hour program includes 1.0 hour professionalism, 1.0 hour ethics and 0.5 hour substance abuse.
When Abe visited the CBA last year, his program was a sell-out, so he decided to come back in honor of the anniversary of his famous Gettysburg Address which he delivered at the dedication of the Soldiers’’ National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1863.
