Candidates Sought for McCormac Award
Capital Law School Paralegal Programs, the Columbus Bar, and Project Lawyers established an award honoring Judge John W. McCormac for his years of dedicated public service and his keen insight into the delivery of legal services that led to the founding of Capital’s Paralegal Program in 1972. Nominations are now open for the 2009 recipient.
The recipient will be honored at the Eighth Annual McCormac Award Reception at the Columbus Bar in December. To nominate a candidate, submit a short paragraph or two describing contributions to the profession: length of involvement as a paralegal; support of paralegal educational efforts; efforts to increase the credibility and status of the profession; service to the legal community and professional organizations.
Submit nominations to Donna Schoebel via fax (614.236.6958) or email (dschoebel@law.capital.edu) before November 16.
