Judicial Campaign Advertising Committee Helps Ensure a Clean Campaign
In its 22nd year, the bi-partisan Committee is screening the campaign advertising materials of 22 candidates, all of whom have signed an agreement pledging to adhere to the Code of Judicial Conduct and conduct their campaigns in a reputable manner. The Columbus Bar agreement expands upon the requirements of Canon 4 to reflect a higher standard of conduct. The Committee reviews campaign materials for judicial candidates to assure that they are truthful, do not misrepresent the candidates’ qualifications, and do not portray the judiciary in an undignified manner.
