Let's Not Give Them Something to Talk About

Alvin Mathews, Bricker & Eckler, and Mark Weaver from Communications Counsel, Inc. will team up to present “Election Law and Social Media,” a 3.0 hour CLE, Wednesday September 15, 1:30pm to 4:45pm. Mr. Mathews will be providing one hour of ethics in his presentation as it relates to social media and advertising, solicitation, confidentiality, conflicts of interest and other issues. From the state perspective, Mr. Weaver will be presenting on Ohio election law, the Ohio Election Commission, rules for judges and false and misleading statements. From a federal perspective, he will present on the Federal Election Commission, corporate campaign speeches and 527 groups, and he will discuss the effect social media has on election law. This seminar offers information on how to “not give them something to talk about” when actively involved in elections.
