On Powerful Communication Strategies

Persuading a jury. Engaging a client. Influencing a team. Attorneys rely on their communication skills to achieve results like these on a daily basis. Yet many attorneys have never taken an objective look at their communication skills, or learned ways to “flex” their style to accommodate the preferences of others. Additionally, the intensity many attorneys bring to their work can sometimes hinder their day-to-day efforts by creating miscommunication that can damage relationships.

On Friday, September 17 from 9:00am to 12:15pm, the Columbus Bar Association is offering a 3.0 hour workshop on Powerful Personal Communication Strategies for Attorneys that Get Results. Presenters include Jessika Ferm and Matthew Krejci, Esq., of J.Ferm LLC, a leadership development company. Using a trademarked “no frills, no fluff” approach, Ferm and Krejci will share how attorneys can better identify and maximize their own communication strengths to achieve better results in and out of the courtroom. The workshop content is based on findings from an extensive research initiative that identified management pain points unique to lawyers and law firms.
