Columbus Bar Introduces Three New Committees
The Columbus Bar is pleased to announce the creation of three new committees. Meetings begin in September.
To join a committee, visit the committee webpage or email donna@cbalaw.org.
Environmental, exploration and production, state and federal energy regulation, utilities, renewable energy and many other areas of law are associated with energy. This group, designed to bring together those who practice law in areas relevant to energy, will discuss the rapidly changing energy industry.
Modern Social Security practice is fast-changing. The coming year is certain to bring continued expansion of SSA’s electronic practice tools and procedures, a host of new judges and experts appearing via VTC from around the country, and more changes at the Central Ohio hearing and district offices. This new committee will ease upcoming transitions and serve as a valuable forum for members to share information and education.
Intellectual Property / Tech Law
Copyright, software patents, piracy, licensing, franchising, on-line content, trade secrets.... the list of “hot topics” that deal with technology and intellectual property are almost endless. This new group will explore many of these issues, as well as some entertainment-related topics.
Columbus Bar committees provide an easy way to stay connected to colleagues, as well as the latest issues impacting your practice and legal community. We offer a comprehensive array of professional, service, court, and advisory committees. For more information about Columbus Bar committees, click here.
