LGBT Committee Co-Sponsors TransOhio Symposium

The LGBT committee joins the 3rd Annual TransOhio Transgender and Ally Symposium for continuing legal education, August 13. Committee co-chair, Travis Jackson of Jones Day; and members Tara McKenzie Allison and Mellissia Fuhrmann of the Justice League of Ohio, will be presenting on issues of health care reform, employment and crime victims rights; focusing on the impact for the transgender community. Each topic represents 1.0 CLE hour, and provides excellent information for attorneys working with LGBT clients.

TransOhio, a non-profit organization, is Ohio’s only statewide Transgender advocacy and community agency. This year’s symposium will be hosted on the campus of The Ohio State University, and will feature over 70 workshops and seminars from local and nationally recognized presenters.
