Ben, Beatles, and *Birthday Balloons

It was June 30, but it felt like December with the Training Room at the Columbus Bar Association full of attorneys pursuing their continuing legal education requirements. The CLE seminar was a video replay of Client Interviews, Depositions and Discovery. True, this was interesting enough a topic to entice an audience; however, the driving factor most likely was that this was the last day to use the 2009/2010 CLE Easy Pass. Ben Franklin continues to be the iconic spokesperson for the Pass, so his presence was made known that day through balloons celebrating his one-year birthday. A rare recording of the Beatles singing Happy Birthday was also played before the seminar began.

The CLE Easy Pass is being offered again for the 2010/2011 membership year - $100 for 12 hours of CLE. Based on the last-minute rush to purchase the pass, the Columbus Bar has decided to extend the deadline to July 31, 2010.
