Roger Gilcrest (view ColumbusLawyerFinder.com profile)
Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I wanted to assist creative individuals to protect the fruits of their labor. I enjoy the strategy behind legal protection and developing the strategy to protect innovations and creativity.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
I found studying chemistry and my work in a biotech lab to be fascinating. It gave me an appreciation for the drive and determination behind inventions. This background allows me to better understand my clients' motivations to create and invent and allows me to better assist clients to protect their work.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
I enjoy learning about new scientific developments and understanding the insight and thinking behind the innovation.
What makes your law firm unique?
That’s easy: The people. Our attorneys and staff are the most caring and professional I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Describe your ideal client.
Excited, innovative, curious people who want to improve things.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I enjoy golf and fishing. I also like to cook.
