Area of Law: Injury and Accidents
Significant Cases
Successfully litigated and/or settled several difficult employment and malpractice cases, including a therapist malpractice case. Presented, and prevailed upon appellate arguments before the Missouri Supreme Court, which issued a decision setting new precedent on the state's interpretation of the "zone of danger" rule.
Why did you decide to become an attorney?
Initially, I was following in the footsteps of my father, who practices insurance law. It turns out that the apple does fall far from the tree in this instance, because I ended up representing accident victims instead of insurance companies! I respect my dad's distinguished career path, I simply took a different direction.
What makes your law firm unique?
Our firm often takes difficult cases that other lawyers have turned away. Some of these cases have turned out to be the most successfully-litigated cases of my career. Despite difficult legal or factual issues, we are willing to work through obstacles and put in the time necessary to prepare a case for trial. We are also very honest with our clients and we will not lead them down the path toward litigation if we know that it will not be worth their time and money.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I am the wife of a successful jazz musician, Bryan Olsheski, and the mother of an adorable eight-month-old girl, Ani. Between the two of them, they keep me very busy.
