Columbus Bar Honors Seven for Extraordinary Service

The 2010 Awards of Excellence Luncheon is set for May 4, noon at the Hyatt on Capitol Square. Columbus Bar President Elizabeth Watters will honor seven Columbus leaders for service to the community and the legal profession. The 2010 Awards of Excellence honorees include:

Deborah J. Merritt, The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law; Liberty Bell Award for her leadership and dedication to the principles of our democratic system of government by law.

Robert Clyde, Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation: Award of Merit for his service in the administration of justice

Douglas S. Morgan, Hahn Loeser & Parks: Community Service Award for his contribution of time and effort in service to the central Ohio community.

Meredith K. Knueve, Bricker & Eckler: Community Service Award for her contribution of time and effort in service to the central Ohio community.

In addition, special awards will be presented to James A. Rutledge, Bricker & Eckler, Lloyd E. Fisher, Jr., Porter Wright Morris & Arthur; and Michael P. Mahoney, Bailey Cavalieri, as long time members and invaluable contributors to the Columbus Bar Pension Advisory Committee.
