Health Care Reform - It Is Now a Reality - How Will It Affect Employer Plans?
The Willis Human Capital Practice will be conducting a webcast on Health Care Reform - It Is Now a Reality - How Will It Affect Employer Plans? This webcast will be presented by Peter Gruenberg, Co-Leader of the Willis Human Capital Practice and Jay Kirschbaum, Practice Leader of the Willis Human Capital National Legal & Research Group.
The House of Representatives passed the Senate Healthcare Reform bill (the Patients Protection and Affordable Care Act) late Sunday night along with a companion budget reconciliation bill (the Health Care and Education Affordability and Reconciliation Act of 2010). The PPACA was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday. The HCEARA will have to be passed by the Senate (by simple majority) before it goes to the President for his signature. While there will be some political maneuvering by the Republicans that bill is also expected to become law. This webcast will focus on the direct impact of the PPACA and the potential changes in the HCEARA. In either case, many mandates and changes will be effective in the first plan year that begins 6 months after passage of the bill - or January 1, 2011 for the majority of plans. Join Willis for this program to help you begin to gear up to address those changes in your plans.
This webcast will be held Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2:00 pm Eastern, and we hope you will be able to join us for this informative program.
The program will last one hour with time devoted at the end for Q&A.
