Stressing Health

Life as a successful lawyer can be both rewarding and stressful. The stress of a busy professional life coupled with an active personal life can weaken your immune system if you don’t take good care of yourself.

“Taking time to focus on your health is a crucial part of work-life balance – you can’t balance the demands of a legal career with a satisfying personal life if you don’t make time for yourself,” says CBA President Elizabeth Watters. The Columbus Bar appreciates the connection between good physical health and good mental health and, in partnership with UnitedHealthcare and Willis, has organized a Fall Wellness Fair to help you be at your best as we enter flu season.

For three days, Columbus Bar members will be have access to free health screenings, speakers on various topics, and information from various local businesses offering biometric screenings, hearing screenings, foot gait analysis, and massages. Participants will also have an opportunity to enter a drawing for valuable prizes such as Wii Fit, iPod, a free a vascular body scan (valued at $800), gift certificate for a one-hour massage, $25 gift card to Front Runner, and a gift certificate for Vitabot.
