The U.S. Supreme Court - A New Justice. A New Term. A New Court.

It is an axiom that is often repeated by Supreme Court justices: when even one new justice joins the Court, the entire Court is transformed. Veteran Supreme Court Correspondent Tony Mauro will offer an inside report on the new U.S. Supreme Court and its newest member, Sonia Sotomayor, and on the issues she and the Court will face this term.

A Forum on the Law is presented by the Columbus Bar Foundation, Capital University Law School and the Supreme Court of Ohio, Tuesday, October 27, at the Judicial Center (65 S. Front St.). Guest speaker Mauro is the Supreme Court correspondent for National Law Journal, American Lawyer Media and law.com, and a legal correspondent for the First Amendment Center. He covered Justice Sotomayor’s confirmation hearing and will describe the spectacle and politics that led to her confirmation.
