Charles “Biff” Maddock, Altman Weil principal, is a featured presenter at the September 11 Masters Series on business development. National speaker and author on law firm strategy and marketing, Mr. Maddock will begin the seminar with a discussion on the changing business environment and how new political, economic and other trends translate into new business opportunities for law firms. Mr. Maddock has worked with over 300 law firms in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. in areas of strategy, branding, client relations, training and marketing.
Business Development is the second program in the new CLE Masters Series, designed to provide robust, interactive, in-depth explorations of topics important to the legal community. The series kicks-off on September 10 with 6.25 credit hours for Labor and Employment Law, with renowned local speakers including Chief Justice Thomas Moyer and Attorney General Richard Cordray.
The Masters Series continues into the fall with an Evidence and Hearsay on October 23 and the unique Lincoln on Professionalism session on November 19. Lincoln on Professionalism, prepared and produced by the Atlanta Bar Association in corporation with the Georgia Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism, is comprised of a series of extremely engaging documentary vignettes that bring to life Lincoln’s legal and personal professionalism. Attendees view the vignettes and then join local judges and attorneys for a lively discussion on Lincoln’s qualities of professionalism that still resonate and are a model for today’s lawyers.
