"Check Your Privacy Rights at the Door" and Other Employment Issues
The CLE Masters Series will kick off September 10 with a Labor & Employment Law program comprising a combination of presentations and panel discussions. Chief Justice Thomas Moyer will present a segment on Professionalism; and Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray, OSU Professor Ruth Colker and William Nolan join together for a discussion on ADAAA, state and federal developments.
Other panel topics include “Practical Considerations in Reviewing Leave Requests,” and “Check Your Privacy Rights at the Door, Please!” – discussing the use social media to screen employees, email rights, and employee monitoring developments.
“Accommodating Religious Diversity,” a review of EEOC guidelines, legislative and judicial developments, and Justice Sotomayer’s potential impact will be presented by David Ball and Fazeel Khan; and “ERISA for Employment Lawyers” by Anthony Ciriaco. “Card Checks and Other Legislative Hot Buttons” completes the panel discussions.
Serving as panels are Kimberly Hensley, Ann Koerner, John Marshall, Bradd Siegel, Fred Gittes, Kristin Seifert Watson, Larry Feheley, and Mike Womack. Joelle Khouzam is the moderator.
