Chief Justice Moyer to Address Litigators

~ written by Terri B. Gregori, Chair, Columbus Bar ADR Committee

The Advocate In Mediation: Basic & Higher Level Concepts” is uniquely geared for litigators of all levels of experience and incorporates topics that matter in your daily practice. The speakers are phenomenal. You will meet and hear from Sara Rudolph Cole, Director of the Program on Dispute Resolution at Moritz College of Law. If you are not familiar with Professor Cole, I will short-cut this for you – she writes the books on ADR used all over the country and beyond. So mediators, save your seat too! Sam Wampler of Bricker & Eckler, with over 30 years’ experience as a trial attorney and mediator, will give you some insights on persuasion in opening remarks and use of technology.

You will want to hear what Mark Landes of Isaac Brant Ledman & Teetor has to say about reducing mediated agreements to writing. Mark litigates, mediates, educates and has even written jury instructions used in Ohio. Harold Paddock is well respected for his involvement in Ohio policy and legislation that effects mediation in Ohio. There is no one better to outline what you must know about the OMA. Yes, litigators, the Ohio Mediation Act effects you and your clients. But wait… there’s more. Included in the price of this event is lunch and a keynote address by Chief Justice Moyer.

Indeed, the program is on a Monday morning (April 27), but it will be hot – and so will the coffee. There will be no better way to start your week and you will find no better value for CLE anywhere. Register online or call 614/221.4112 for event #MD090427. Member cost is $105 prepaid/$120 day-of, non-member cost is $150 prepaid/$165 day-of, and non-attorney cost is $75 prepaid/$90 day-of.
