Mound Street Construction

Next week, construction of a pedestrian tunnel below Mound Street will change the flow of traffic in the vicinity of the Franklin County Government Complex and Courts in downtown Columbus.

Effective Monday, March 2, 2009, Mound Street will become a one-way, one-lane, west bound street in the block connecting High and Front Streets.

Construction is expected to take 6 months and upon completion, Mound Street will again become a two-way, east-west bound thoroughfare. No parking options will be affected by the construction.

Visitors to the Franklin County Government Campus should allow extra travel time as drivers adjust to the new route. A map, parking locations and additional information are available at www.moundstreetconstruction.com.
