Inside Ohio Commerce

Kimberly Zurz, Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce, will provide an update and review of duties and responsibilities of the agency at the next meeting of the Government Agencies committee, November 5.

Appointed by Governor Strickland in 2007, Director Zurz formerly was a state senator representing Ohio’s 28th District which includes Portage County and a portion of Summit County. She has served as the Ohio Senate’s Assistant Minority Leader and as the ranking member on the Ways and Means and Economic Development Committee. She also served on the Judiciary Committee on Criminal Justice, the Judiciary Committee on Civil Justice and the Energy and Public Utilities Committee. Before her appointment and election to the Ohio Senate, Ms. Zurz served 11 years on the Summit County Council, three terms as president.

This noon meeting is open to all members of the Columbus Bar.
