Do You Know Someone?
If you know an aspiring African-American law student, pass this along. The John Mercer Langston Bar Association is hosting the second Conference for African American Aspiring Attorneys presented on Friday, October 24. The event, co-sponsored by the Columbus Bar, is an ideal opportunity for African-American students considering a legal career to network with central Ohio attorneys and judges, learn how to select a law school and how to academically prepare for law school. Attendees will also hear, first-hand, from law students who will share their experiences.
The Conference is free to students, but space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. To register, go to www.jmlba.org.
Date: October 24
Time: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Place: Columbus Bar
Sponsors include the Columbus Bar Association’s Managing Partners Diversity Initiative, Honda of America Mfg., and Capital University Law School. Questions? Contact: Janine Hancock Jones, at 614/462.2668 or jjones@bakerlaw.com.
