6th Annual Immigration Law Conference
Columbus Bar in conjunction with the Ohio Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) will hold its 6th Annual Immigration Law Conference on Friday, October 31. This year’s all-day event will focus on two half-day themes: “Worksite Enforcement – Representing Employers in Peril” topics include I-9 issues, Preventative Measures, and ICE Raids; and “Representing Aliens Before the EOIR” topics include Grounds of Inadmissibility and Consequences of Criminal Activity, and Relief from Removal and the Mechanics of Removal Litigation. A half-hour substance abuse session has also been included in the agenda.

Leopold; Laura Lichter, Lichter Korkin & Associates (Denver); E. Dennis Muchnicki; Mark M. Nesbit; Sam Shihab, Shihab & Associates; and Douglas S. Weigle, Bartlett & Weigle. The annual conference has been organized by Gus M. Shihab, Vice Chair of the AILA Ohio chapter for two years.
