You are cordially invited

You are cordially invited Tuesday, June 17 to celebrate the legacy of Ohio’s first six women legislators who served in the Ohio General Assembly beginning in 1923. At 1 p.m., the Dedication Commemorative Photo on the Ohio Statehouse West Steps, High Street, a re-enact the historic Women’s Suffrage rally pictured above. It is desired that participants wear white in honor of this day. All are welcome to participate in the commemorative photo.

The Ladies’ Gallery Dedication is at 2 p.m. in the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, Special Guest, Jo Ann Davidson, first woman Speaker of the Ohio House of Representative, 1995-2001. Please join in the Dedication of the Ladies’ Gallery, a place of honor and learning in the Ohio Statehouse. Its enduring function will be to inform and inspire all who visit – especially young women and girls – to take an active role in democracy.
