Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I became an attorney because I believe that it is an honorable and noble profession. I enjoy helping my clients resolve their problems with as little hassle as possible.
What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?
I too have gone through difficult periods in my life and this enables me to better understand and empathize with my clients. My paralegal and I are the only individuals that my clients have contact with, which means that their concerns are always heard in a timely manner.
What made you choose your primary area of law?
I chose to focus my practice on family law, bankruptcy, probate and estate planning because I feel those are areas of the law in which a person's emotional state is most affected by issues that they are having. I want to help my clients resolve those issues and be able to move on with their life.
What makes your law firm unique?
I am a solo practitioner with one paralegal. When you call, you get to speak to me personally--not a secretary. I think customer service is vital to my client's satisfaction and our small, intimate office environment allows for great customer service.
Describe your ideal client.
A client who is reasonable, fair and willing to compromise. Issues can be resolved quickly, cheaply and out of court when clients are willing to accept fair compromises.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I enjoy traveling, keeping fit, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
Describe your charitable activities.
I enjoy offering free informational sessions with respect to common concerns in the areas of law that I practice to various community entities, like homeowners associations, churches, libraries, and nursing homes.
