Hunting Lawyers of Franklin County, working under the name of “Lawyers in Need,” organized a fundraiser on March 6 on behalf of one of our colleagues, Donald C. Schumacher. Don, who just underwent his third cancer operation on March 5, is recovering at home but will not be able to return to the practice within the near future.
Lawyers in Need was the brainchild of Ron Janes and David Stebbind, who obtained a Federal I.D. Charitable Contribution status. (The Columbus Bar Foundation is in the process of establishing a similar Lawyer to Lawyer fund.) As practicing attorneys we never know when we will be a “lawyer in need.”
We want to thank all the contributors who gave generously to the fundraiser.
