Green Columbus Readies for Earth Day
If you looking for a way to contribute to a good green cause this Earth Day but not sure where to start, NowGetBusy.org, a recently launched site provides a chance for users to sign up and volunteer their time at a variety of worksites.
The volunteering and Earth Day celebration take place on Saturday, April 26. Each worksite listed online provides a job description, location of the job, shift time, and number of volunteers still needed. Opportunities include cleaning up along rivers and streams, and planting flower and vegetable gardens at city parks and public schools around town. Interested individuals can sign up at NowGetBusy.org by clicking on "Volunteer Registration." All that is required is a user name and a working e-mail address to get started. Once you have logged in, you can browse through and sign-up for any of the available volunteer opportunities.
