BMV Law Basics and the Impact of DUS, NOL, and OVIs – Video Replay deals with the representation of clients on BMV issues, the use of BMV online services by the attorney, and driver’s license sanctions. Organizer Mike Rankin brought together three experts to bring you up to speed on the information you need to know for providing the best possible defense on OVI. Tim Fisher, Acting Chief of Licenses Support and BMV Reinstatement of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, discusses BMV online services and suspensions. He also conducts a BMV online tutorial, demonstrating how to search real time BMV driving records and reinstatement requirements. Mr. Fisher explains how to read a driving record and understand suspension and point assessment. Finally, he summarizes BMV suspension and reinstatement requirements with a discussion of suspension cases and reinstatement policy and procedure.
 
Attorney Jon J. Saia of Saia & Piatt brings to light OVI driver’s license sanctions as he discusses administrative license, public safety, and conviction suspensions as well as Commercial Driver’s License disqualifications.
