What made you choose your primary area of law?

I like to solve legal puzzles so I’ve sought to maintain broad but deep knowledge and experience in multiple areas of the law; in particular, the areas of Probate and Wealth Preservation, Business, and Military law have always been of strong interest to me.

What makes your law firm unique?
The practice of law has been gratifying for over 30 years. I have been actively engaged in the private practice of law in central Ohio and also a senior partner and leader in one of the world's largest law firms: the JAG Department, United States Air Force. My broad range of experiences allows me to coach the Price Law Firm team to achieve the best resolution possible given the particulars of the individuals involved. My service in the Air Force as an Attorney (JAG) and Officer all over the world not only gave me the opportunity to serve our country, but also helped me to maintain a "big picture" view of legal concerns and to develop leadership skills. Legal issues rarely, if ever, can be put in only one "bucket." For example, one's military service substantially impacts domestic relations, financial, and estate planning issues. My law firm is composed of wonderful talented individuals who assist me in the delivery of quality legal services. This approach means that there is always someone at the Firm who can assist you and at the best possible cost. We identify your needs and deliver quality service.

Describe your ideal client.
What is my ideal client? One who talks to me, listens to me, and helps me reach the best possible overall results for him or her. I view my role as “problem solver.”  Frequently, a Client not only does not know the answer to his/her difficulties, but, in many cases, he/she does not even know the question(s). A lawyer’s job is not to make decisions for clients but to give sound clear and concise legal advice after learning all  the relevant facts and circumstances and after considering the applicable law, rules and regulations. I use the “team" approach to every client’s issues and consider a client “ideal” if he responds to this approach.

Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I have always had diverse interests most of which I have shared with my family.  We all enjoy skiing, SCUBA, boating, golf, hockey, and traveling. My wife, Linda, and I just completed a “Sabbatical" by traveling around the U.S.A. for over a year in a motor home. We returned to the practice, refreshed and reinvigorated.

Describe your charitable activities.
I provide Pro-Bono legal services for International Child Care, St. Joseph's Montessori School and for the Columbus Bar Association. In addition, I actively support St. Charles Preparatory School, the Columbus Bar Foundation, the Homeless Families Foundation, Art Safe and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through their annual charity Bowl-a-thon.
