Guess who's coming for lunch?
Esteemed judges from the Common Pleas Court will join the New Lawyers for the informal Judicial Luncheon on Wednesday, February 21, noon at the Columbus Bar offices. Each year, the Common Pleas judges reach out to welcome new lawyers into the profession and into their courtrooms. During the course of the lunch, they offer thoughts, advice, guidance, and wisdom to the group of members they are seated with. First time attendees come for the chance for informal conversation and an inside glimpse of the Bench’s perspective on practice, court rules and other codes, formal and informal. Repeat attendees come for the chance to renew relationships or create new ones with the judges.
The Columbus Bar is grateful to the Bench for showing a strong interest in getting to know the most recent addition to our Bar. Their investment in creating positive relationships with the Bar helps to make Central Ohio a great place to live and practice law.
If you are a Columbus Bar member in your first seven years of practice, please plan to reciprocate the Bench’s efforts to get to know you by attending this unique event. If you’ve passed your first seven years of practice, encourage your eligible colleagues and friends to attend. You can pump them for information after the meeting!
Lunch is provided courtesy of the Columbus Bar. Vegetarian lunches are available. If you have special dietary needs, please feel free to bring a bag lunch, or contact the Columbus Bar regarding the menu.
Please RSVP to Lara Bertsch by February 15 at lara@cbalaw.org or 221.4112. We will accept reservations for groups as well as individuals.
