Judge Horton to meet with Government Agencies

Judge Timothy S. Horton of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas will give an overview of trial practice at the upcoming Government Agencies Committee meeting on Wednesday, November 7. The meeting is open to all Columbus Bar members.
 
In November 2006, Judge Horton became the second African-American to be elected to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, General Division.
 
 Before taking the bench, Horton practiced at the Columbus law firm of Chester Willcox & Saxbe, where he handled complex civil litigation and employment law. He began his career as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General representing the state in federal and state courts in employment matters.
 
Judge Horton graduated from OSU, Moritz College of Law, where he now serves as a guest lecturer and speaker. He holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University.
 
A native of central Ohio, he continues to serve the community through his church, youth soccer associations, and other boards and associations.
