Criminal Discovery and Voir Dire

The Litigation Management Series will feature Criminal Discovery and Criminal Voir Dire on Tuesday, October 9 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Attorney J. Scott Weisman will present Criminal Discovery for the defense. Franklin County Prosecutor Douglas P. Stead of the Criminal Division will talk about voir dire from the prosecution’s point of view while Mary Catherine Kurila of the Franklin County Public Defender’s office and attorney Samuel H. Shamansky will discuss voir dire for the defense.
 
Sharing information regarding voir dire for the criminal defense, Sam Shamansky explains, “This presentation is designed to assist the practitioner to ‘unpick’ a jury. We will focus on open dialogue as opposed to a Question and Answer session.”
 
The Litigation Management Series comprises ten lunchtime seminars to take you through the entire trial process and is designed for the attorney with little trial experience who needs a primer on the tactics of the trial to seasoned attorneys looking for a refresher on trial techniques. Complimentary sandwiches are served between 11– 11:30 on a first-come, first-served basis. Of course no food may be consumed during CLE from 11:30 – 1 p.m.
