CLASS: Civil Legal Assistance for Soldiers & Sailors
~ written by She'lia A. Bolding-Wright
As the Iraq war continues into a fifth year, our military personnel are often overwhelmed with legal issues. Many times they are faced with legal issues while being faced with the enemy. Being deployed for a much longer term than expected does not help the situation and can have devastating affects on our volunteers and their families. These men and women are faced with civil issues such as domestic, consumer, collections, and real estate, and they need our help.
You can do your part by joining forces with the Columbus Bar and the Military Assistance Program. We are sponsoring a free CLE for volunteers on November 9 from 1 pm until 4:15 pm here at the Columbus Bar offices.
In order to take part in this free CLE you are required to sign up to take at least two cases per year from an active military personnel. Often times our military volunteers do not live in Central Ohio but still need assistance. You can still help them by locating someone geographically closer to where they need the help. Working together, we can get the job done and be proud that we are serving those who stand on the wall and sacrifice so much for us—even their lives.
Call She’lia Bolding-Wright today at 614/340.2074 on or before October 24th to reserve your seat at this FREE CLE and make a difference that counts.
