Get to know lawyers from LiamLaw.com

Kenneth J. Robinson, Slowik & Robinson

Why did you decide to become an attorney?
Growing up, I was taught that there is nothing more rewarding than being in the service of others. Also, I wanted to use advocacy, rhetoric, and the spoken and written word to resolve disputes (which essentially means, as a child, I was picked on and needed to find a non-physical way to stand up for myself... so I relied on a sharp tongue...). When I was young, I thought the practice of law was noble (and still do). I should also mention that I was encouraged to be a lawyer to compete with my twin brother (the doctor) and I knew that if I became a lawyer with my clients' interest always in mind and I practiced with integrity, I would make a decent living.

What made you choose your primary area of law?
I have always been intrigued by travel and languages. I enjoy international politics, business, and dealing directly with individuals. Immigration law is a perfect synergy of these elements."

What makes your law firm unique?
Slowik & Robinson, LLC is a boutique law firm practicing primarily in the areas of immigration law, employment law and small business counseling. Our lawyers have “big firm” expertise in these specialties, but strive to deliver personalized client services at a more economical cost. Our firm serves the immigration law needs of businesses and individuals located throughout the U.S. Our firm offers fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish.

Describe your ideal client.
On time.

Describe your personal interests and hobbies.
I have two beautiful sons (don't take my word for it, ask my wife...), two ornery cats, one beautiful and ornery wife. They take up most of my free time; however, I enjoy travel, I am a TV (American Idol, C-Span/CNN and 24) and a movie-junkie (anything that has subtitles or a talking bear), and weekend warrior athletics.
