Why did you decide to become an attorney? I spent about ten years in a different profession before becoming a lawyer, entering law school as a seasoned professional. Working with clients to achieve their goals provides a never-ending variety of work in this challenging profession.
What made you choose your primary area of law? Working in the field of business litigation allows me many opportunities to help clients achieve justice in their disputes with others.
What makes your law firm unique? My focus is on client needs, not mine. I listen carefully to understand what the client wants and needs. I am meticulous about returning phone calls and e-mails promptly, and in collaboration with the client, do what can be done to achieve the client's goals. In short, I take seriously the lawyer's professional and ethical obligation to work zealously to accomplish the client's objectives.
Describe your ideal client: The ideal client is a lot like the ideal lawyer. He or she is well-informed, speaks candidly about the facts of a case, treats the lawyer as a partner in the endeavor, keeps the lawyer informed of any important changes in circumstances, and responds promptly to inquiries from the lawyer.
Describe your personal interests and hobbies: I am an avid bicyclist, camper, hiker, collector of vintage fountain pens and oriental rugs, and student of history.
