Hear ye, all bikers
~ written by Leon Friedberg
The Seventh "23rd Annual" Carlile Patchen & Murphy Velvet Motorcycle Ride is scheduled for Sunday (not Saturday) September 9, beginning at 1 p.m. (after lunch). We continue with a Sunday date to minimize scheduling issues for riders who may have Saturday conflicts.
This year's ride will feature a return to the original, namesake destination: the beautiful and exotic home of Velvet Ice Cream Ye Olde Mill, Route 13, Utica. Ye Olde Mill offers entertainment on Sunday summer afternoons. We will be treated to the rhythmic stylings of the Midwest Cloggers, 2 until 4 pm. For more information, visit www.velveticecream.com.
Riders will meet at the CPM parking lot, 366 East Broad Street (Grant and Broad), at 1 pm. (Top off your tanks before we leave. There is a gas station about 1/2 mile east on Broad Street.)
The Velvet Ride is open to central Ohio lawyers, judges, staff, clients and friends (and their co-riders, of course). No pending cases or client matters are open for discussion, but bragging about your bike or the latest installed chrome doo-dad, your children, and such, is strongly encouraged.
(Note: CPM assumes no liabilities whatsoever, and all riders participate at their own risk.)
Hope to see you Sunday in September. Please reply (LF@cpmlaw.com) if you plan to attend.
PS. We once again have iron-clad reps and warranties that the weather will be wonderful; however, anything herein to the contrary notwithstanding, we will hold open Sunday, Sept. 16, as the weather back-up day.
