A peek into Liam

It's not exactly Google Earth, but we're nevertheless prepared for a good measure of attention. Liam (Lawyer Information Accessible to Me) is the newest way for Columbus consumers to find online the right lawyer for a cause or an attorney for all seasons.

Created by the Columbus Bar, Liam is designed to answer the growing number of online requests for information on selecting a local attorney. (In 2006, Yahoo received over 50,000 hits a month, online searches for Columbus and/or Ohio, lawyers and/or attorneys.)

Perusing the attorney mock-up page  from a Liam search, note that the information covers the essentials, a substantive introduction with the option of clicking for more: history, fees information and "get-to-know-me" details.

Legal information content for Liam is written by the Columbus Bar with help from member lawyers. It includes a legal glossary, a guide to hiring an attorney, and FAQs.
