Do you know Liam?
The Columbus Bar is excited to announce the upcoming unveiling of Liam, an online consumer resource for local lawyer and legal information. Liam - Lawyer Information Accessible to Me - will prepare consumers for a positive legal experience with consumer-friendly local legal information and local lawyer contacts.
Consumers are increasingly searching for information online, and legal information is no exception. In 2006, on Yahoo alone, online searches for phrases that included “Columbus” and/or “Ohio” and “lawyers” and/or “attorneys” occurred over 50,000 times a month.
“Liam was created by the Columbus Bar in part to answer the growing number of online requests for local attorneys the Bar receives weekly from consumers, “ said Alex Lagusch, Columbus Bar Executive Director. “We know that being able to find good information online is an expectation of consumers, and attorneys need to meet those expectations in their marketing. We’ve crafted Liam to help local consumers connect easily with local attorneys and legal information.”
Content for Liam is written by the Columbus Bar, in partnership with member lawyers. Legal information content includes a legal glossary, a guide about how to hire an attorney and FAQs. Also included is a legal tool kit for common legal issues that addresses topics in an easy to use format, covering what to know, what to do, what to bring, where to read more, what to ask and what’s the answer.
Listing on Liam is exclusive to Columbus Bar members. Attorneys listed on Liam will provide details about how to contact them; practice focus and firm details; years of experience; neighborhood practice location; schooling and continuing education; fees; and answers to get-to-know-me questions.
Liam is expected to go live to consumers in May, at www.LiamLaw.com. Attorney sign-ups are happening now. For more information about listing your practice on Liam, visit www.LiamLaw.com or contact Anne Leonard-Palmer at anne@LiamLaw.com or 614/221.4112.
