Columbus attorneys take two of ten slots on “Up-and-Coming African American Lawyers to Watch” list
Two out of ten of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s 2007 Up-and-Coming Young African American Lawyers are Columbus attorneys.
The attorneys on the list were first suggested by attorneys featured in the article “America’s Top Black Lawyers” in the November 2003 issue of Black Enterprise magazine. Research was then conducted by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s Diversity & the Bar magazine staffers to find the best of the best. Aaron Dryer, Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, and Carter Stewart, Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease, were among the ten selected out of over one hundred candidates.
At Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, Dryer concentrates his practice in the areas of general business and taxation, providing representation to publicly and privately held companies, exempt organizations and individuals.
Stewart is an associate in the litigation group of Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease. He focuses his practice on complex litigation matters and has experience in criminal defense, commercial litigation, arbitration, antitrust and education law.
Of the other eight attorneys on the list, three were from New York City. The others hailed from Overland Park, Kansas; Los Angeles; Bethpage, New York; Trenton, New Jersey; and Alexandria, Virginia.
