New lawyers get two-for-one special offer for theater tickets
Members of the New Lawyers committee have the opportunity to enjoy Gallery Player’s production of Urinetown at a special discount. Nicole VanderDoes of Luper Neidenthal & Logan, a member of the New Lawyers Advisory committee and the Gallery Players board, has arranged for all members of the New Lawyers committee to be able to get one ticket free with every ticket purchased at a the full adult price of $18. To take advantage of this special offer, new lawyers should take a copy of this offer with them to the Gallery Players box office when they purchase or pick up tickets.
“This is an excellent opportunity for New Lawyers to experience the cultural offerings of Columbus at a great discount,” said VanderDoes. “Urinetown has themes that should appeal to New Lawyers while providing a fun night of entertainment.”
Urinetown: The Musical is an innovative Broadway musical, a cautionary tale about government corruption and corporate greed, and a love story all in one. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year draught, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he has had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom.
The success of Urinetown seems as unlikely as the show’s title. Urinetown was nominated for an impressive 10 Tony Awards, winning for Best Book, Score, and Director. It also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical.
Urinetown opens Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. and continues through March 11. Discount tickets can be purchased at 1125 College Ave. in Bexley or by phone at 614/559.6248 by referencing this offer.
