Bankruptcy judge to speak at Columbus Bar

United States Bankruptcy Judge Charles M. Caldwell is the featured guest speaker for the next Government Agencies committee meeting on Feb. 7 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Columbus Bar offices. Judge Caldwell will discuss the highlights of changes to the bankruptcy code.
Judge Caldwell was appointed to the bench of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio on May 26, 1993. He served as an Assistant United States Trustee in the Department of Justice U.S. Trustee Program for the Southern District of Ohio from March 7, 1988, until his appointment to the court. Prior to joining the Justice Department he served as a staff attorney in the Bankruptcy Division of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts from 1986 to 1988. He is a 1979 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, and a 1976 graduate of the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Public Administration.
